After graduating from Erie County Tech, and a brief three-year attempt at marriage, I decided to seek my fortune in Florida. I stayed with Dan Guild in Florida (good times!) and worked my way up to Construction Superintendent. Over the last 26 years I have been building hospitals throughout the country, with licenses in Florida and Louisiana. I have built hospitals for the largest healthcare companies in America and currently work for BE & K Building Group, Inc., from Nashville, Tennessee.

Along the way I met a wonderful Texas gal, Ita, and we have been married for 28 years. I have two beautiful daughters, Julie and Nikki, and two grandchildren, Ben and Charlotte.

Our permanent home is in St. Augustine Beach, Florida, and I am currently building a new healthcare facility in Austin, Texas. We are empty nesters and having a ball spending the kids’ inheritance. The knees won’t let me do much anymore except golf, deep sea fishing, and getting home for as many Florida Gator games as possible.

Guilly and I have stayed in touch throughout the years and he has remained a valuable friend, but I feel close to all my old classmates. We had many good times. I look forward to starting a new career after retirement – what I don’t know, but it will be fun having options.
