Life has been very good. Mike and I were friends through school, but letter writing from Viet Nam to Buffalo General brought us to where we are now. Married in 1969, I worked as an RN in Medina, Mike worked for Niagara Mohawk. We bought our first home in Gasport, where we reside to this day.
Mike worked his way up in the company to management as supervisor of transportation, retiring in 2002. Fortunately, I was able to stay home with our two sons until pre-college years when I returned to Roy Hart as the school nurse, working the last 17 years in the high school. These proved to be very special years. My goal was to make a difference in a kid’s life each and every day I worked. I also retired in 2002 and we have never looked back.
We enjoy traveling the east coast in our RV, as well as touring New York State, which offers so many beautiful places. Mike enjoys woodworking, fishing, and tinkering on an older Corvette. I love gardening, but my passion is quilting. Together we hike, bike, and spend as much time as possible with our grandchildren, Austin & Kaitlyn. Our son Stephen served in the Navy for six years and is currently working at NYSEG. Our youngest son, Marc, has his masters in health and nursing home administration and is currently working in the Rochester area.
Our hope is to have another 40 years together to enjoy life! Our wish goes out to all of our former classmates for good health and happiness as well.
