After graduation, I attended Bryant & Stratton for secretarial courses. In 1969, I moved to the Houston, Texas area, where I worked for an insurance company until I met my former husband, who was a supervisor at E.I. DuPont Company. After we had our children, I became a stay at home mother to 2 daughters, doing the usual carpooling to their activities. Aimee has a B.S. degree in Psychology and a Certification in Elementary Education. She teaches 2nd grade in the New Caney School District. Staci has a B.A. in Communications-TV & Radio and is Certified to teach Special Education. She has a position in the Texas City School District and works part time at The Alley Theatre in Houston. Neither are married as of yet.

I continued my education as the children became school age and completed an A.A.S. in Mental Health & Substance Abuse Counseling from Alvin Community College. I became the Assistant Program Director in a Substance Abuse Awareness Program for the college. I also volunteered at the Houston Women's Center and Alvin Police Department Handicap Violation Program. From there, I attended Empire State College-SUNY-Distance Learning and received my B.S. in Community & Human Services.

I moved back to the Middleport area in 2001 to assist with my elderly parents. Mother passed away in 2003 from a massive stroke and is missed tremendously. As some of you remember, she worked in Roy-Hart cafeteria for many years. My father is 91 and still lives on the Ridge in the home I grew up in.

I am now working for the Orleans County Workforce Development Agency in Albion. I assist clients with employment search and resume writing. It is a challenging position in the western New York area with the economy the way it is. I also volunteer for the Orleans Rape Crisis Hotline and am active in the Hartland Historical Society.

My activities have included traveling extensively in Mexico, Canada, Alaska, and most of the United States. I also enjoy snowshoeing, entering fun runs/walks, photography, playing the piano, volunteering, and enjoying my children and family.
