WOW!!! 40 Years in a nutshell? Okay…

I’ve been married to Butch Parker 39 years this November. He is a great guy and still a complete mystery to me (the secret to a long happy marriage). We have two wonderful sons. Son Shawn and wife Diane have 3 beautiful daughters: Michelle a junior at U.B., Ashley a junior and Lauren a sophomore at Starpoint. Shawn is employed at Delphi and Diane at NCCC, in the counseling center. Their lives are the joy of my heart. Son Scott and his wife Kate have 3 handsome sons: Will, age 7, Nick, 5, and Mitch, 2 1/2. Scott teaches at Martha Brown Middle School in Fairport, NY, and Kate is a supervisor in speech at Nazareth College in Pittsford, NY. Their lives also are the very beat of my heart.

Butch and I now live in Lockport, but lived most of our married life in Wilson, NY --what a great place to raise a family! I worked 27 years as a hairdresser, also did 9 years of daycare (the 2 yr. olds, my back, ouch!) and 2 years as a diet center counseler. Now I’m just enjoying having a social life, reading, and doing a little writing.

Butch retired from Delphi (Human Resource Dept. & Development) but after a few months of being home with his loving wife, he decided to go drive a bus for Grand Tours! Hmmmm????

To close, I will tell you my life has seen enough trial and tribulation to keep me humble and enough joy to keep me happy.

PS.16:5&6: Lord you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.
